Aster novi-belgii Lady in Blue
Aster novi-belgii Lady in Blue is a great Aster for the front of your borders. It is one of the best dwarf varieties; the delicate foliage stays nice and compact at around 30 cm. Sprays of double lavender blue flowers cover the plant from late summer into autumn. These prove irresistible to bees and butterflies, and also the flower sprays are great as cut flowers. These attributes make it a great all-rounder for your garden.
Plant in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil, in sun or light shade, for it to meet its full potential, though it copes with most conditions apart from the extremes of too wet, dry or shady.
THIS PLANT CAN BE WINTER DORMANT IN AREAS THAT ARE PRONE TO FROSTS.
