Sisyrinchium Devon Skies
S.Devon Skies is a small semi- evergreen perennial from the family commonly named 'Blue-eyed grass' It has small mounds of grass like foliage of just 15- 25 cm. The leaves are a deep green colour, linear in shape, often appearing as lots of small fans.
From as early as late spring right through summer, soft sky- blue flowers are borne. These delightful small flowers are star-shaped, with a dark blue throat and yellow eye. The harmonious colour contrast of the flower is eye-catching and engaging.
Devon skies blend perfectly in amongst other herbaceous plants; the soft sky blue sits magnificently with other flowering colours. A terrific filler for small spaces, nestled in between pavers or in the rock garden, proudly standing alone in a container or even as edging. This versatile plant thrives in poor to a moderate well-drained soil in full sun.
