Select the box, or box plus rural, option at the shipping method page and the computer automatically prices it and determines how many boxes you need for your plants.

We do not make any money on these tickets and sell them to you at cost, to try and keep the ever increasing freight charges to the minimum we can.

How do I get my Discount or use my Voucher ?

After you have made your plant selection and entered your cart you proceed to check out.  On this page there is a box displaying your order and the total cost, within it is a box saying DISCOUNT  simply enter your code (exactly as written in text)  in here and press apply and your discount or value of your voucher  will be removed from the total. Please  contact us  if you have any difficulties.

You can only enter 1 discount code with each order, so if you have a discount / voucher code to enter and would like to pick up your order please contact us.

Can I Pick my Plants up directly from Ravenhill Nursery?

The nursery is not open to the public. However, customers from Whanganui are welcome to  contact us  directly and place your order with me and I am happy to drop your plants round to you when I come in to town.

How do I work out how many boxes?

Our cartons fit up to the quantities mentioned above, under shipping. We are happy to send one plant, however, whether you have only one plant or up to the maximum number the ticket is the same cost, so the most cost effective way is to try and fill your box!!

When you have filled your cart and progress through to the checkout, you come to the shipping page. The computer will have automatically worked out how many boxes you need. You just have to mark if you need the box or box plus Rural Delivery. If Rural is selected, the price is adjusted.

When will I get my Plants?

We will process your order as quickly as possible after receiving it. The plants will be dispatched on the first available Monday orTuesday .  Your plants will then be received before the weekend and not left in a courier warehouse.

We prefer to send Rural Delivery or South Island cartons by Monday at the latest, as they take a day longer to deliver.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee.

Ravenhill Nursery prides itself on the quality of it's plants and customer service.

We understand that issues can occur despite our, and our couriers best efforts. If any problems occur with your order please contact us as soon as possible and we will be in contact to rectify the situation.

What are the Pot sizes?

We sell our plants in 3 sizes of pots, these are

5 cm. =  5 x 5 x 8 cm.  Starter or growing on lines. (Though I do plant some from these straight into my garden, depending on variety)

9 cm. = 9 x 9 x 10 cm.  These hold 0.5 litres of potting mix.

11 cm. = 11 x  11 x 12 cm.  These hold 1 litre of potting mix.

We have chosen to use these sized pots as the plants establish very quickly within your garden. They catch up or often overtake the growth made from plants from bigger sized pots, which can sulk when first planted.

I have always planted from smaller sizes, and indeed in England, it was very rare to see perennials in the larger sized pots and bags. Like bigger pots they can reach the size where you can split some again before planting. So I have found these sizes to be the most cost effective way of buying the most plants for my money!

Can I visit Ravenhill Nursery?
