Alchemilla mollis

$5.99

Spring would not be spring without the sight of Alchemilla mollis with its fresh light green leaves unfurling and holding the spring rain like little sparkling gems amongst the scalloped foliage. A sight that never ceases to fascinate me and make it an extremally desirable plant I would not be without in my garden. Mollis means velvety, and that is exactly how the fresh leaves feel. The new and fresh foliage are followed by small, yellow or greenish flowers, which appear through the spring. This can all be repeated later in the summer by cutting foliage and flowers back hard after flowering and giving the plant a little feed and watering.

A.mollis is not a fussy plant, thriving in full sun, partial shade and all soil types even down to gaps in any paving. Reaches heights of 10- 50cm depending on conditions.
