Arthropodium cirratum 'Matapouri Bay'
This versatile, broad glaucous green strap-like leaved native plant carries panicles of small nodding white flowers over several weeks in early summer. 60x80cm

Arthropodium cirratum 'Matapouri Bay'

A. Matapouri Bay is the plant for that difficult site. It will tolerate full sun or semi- dark shade and will thrive even in a windy position. All of this, on its own would make it a desirable plant, but A.Matapouri Bay is also a standout in its composition, as well. It boasts evergreen glaucous strap-like leaves that are wider than the species, and to top that there are the flowers. These are pink in bud and slowly open to white nodding star-shaped flowers, starting from the bottom and rising to the top of the panicle over several weeks.

A.Matapouri Bay is a plant for a frost free area that does not get too wet, apart from that it is indestructible.
