Hemerocallis Naomi Ruth
H. Naomi Ruth is an easy care plant who's delicately coloured flowers belies the tough plant it is. Its grass-like leaves emerge in spring, and I think the fresh green emerging foliage always adds an extra point of interest at a time of year when flowers are not plentiful. The strappy foliage remains fresh and vibrant throughout the season. From this, stems of single, ruffled flowers emerge, coloured coral/apricot pink with an attractive green throat. These are slightly fragrant and appear in succession throughout early to mid summer. They look spectacular if highlighted against a dark background plant or structure.
Its flowers attract butterflies and are also useful as a cut flower. H. Naomi Ruth will tolerate most soil, take full sun to partial shade and tolerates urban pollution, making this a very versatile plant.
THIS PLANT IS WINTER DORMANT IN AREAS THAT ARE PRONE TO FROSTS.
