Spike-like flower stems standing tall and majestic above the lush green foliage. These flower stems are fantastic in cut flower arrangements and are an excellent attractor and pollinator for bees.
The mid-green foliage is made up of toothed lance-shaped leaves that are up to 12cm long. These are carried up the long unbranched stems up to 90 cm high which terminate with the distinctive flower. Beautifully coloured, salmon-pink flowers are borne on tall stems, up and around, leaving a captivating spike clothed thickly with small tubular flowers. These flower stems, along with the fresh foliage, create a beautiful display from late summer through to early autumn.
Plant this hardy perennial in a sunny site, preferably in a well-drained soil, it does cope with other soil types, but if too wet this may affect its longevity.
